Quality: This is made of both metal and a high grade plastic. The spray nozzle itself it brass, and the outer portion appears to me aluminum. The plastics are pretty thick and very rugged, I'm not worried about scratching this up or it breaking any time soon.
In Use: This is a non-extending wand (I thought it was extendable at first), that has no adjustment of the pressure. The spread of the nozzle can be rotated 360 degrees by disassembling the tip and rotating the brass nozzle, and the bend of the wand can be rotated by loosening the joint where the metal want meets the plastic wand. Pressure on this thing is VERY good. it actually pushes back when in use, so you have to make sure you use both hands. In practice, I find that using this with its 90 degree bend makes working in tight spaces, like wheel wells, or under a car MUCH easier and allows you to spray parts that you just couldn't hit with pressure with a straight part. Since I use the pressure washer for washing the car, you need to spray the dirt off at an angle so that you don't drive the dirt into the finish as you spray it off, using this allows me to keep a good angle without having to bend down too much or standing very close to the car.
cons: well, it is easily the biggest attachment I have for my pressure washer, so storing it is a bit tight. it'd be cool to see either some different nozzles included or as an additional purchase so that I can use it for final rinse with a wider spray pattern or with a needle nozzle for pin point blasting/cutting. and it's not cheap.
Really, I can't think of any cons to this. Obviously it's only 30" long so you may have to use a ladder if spraying out gutters, but at least you won't have to stand as far up on said ladder. and it is for electric washers only. but neither are the tools fault because any longer and I'd be worried about snapping the plastic, and it'd need to be built of different materials for the pressures involved with a gas washer.
The big problem I had, was that unless I was up high enough to see into the gutters, I really couldn't tell what was "going on" up there. I was just standing below, hoping it was working and getting wet/dirty in the process. I did have a lot of junk in my gutters, so if this was used on a regular basis, maybe it wouldn't be a problem. I ended up on ladders/the roof, using the regular wand instead. I then went ahead and bought some cheap vinyl gutter guards, so that I wouldn't have to do this again. I may still use the wand to clean the tops of those off, though.
One last thing: I also bought an extension wand to use for this purpose. Putting the two together can make the spray wand a little hard to control, as it is spraying out at an angle, so far away from your hands.
