really great product. I wish the soap container had a shut off valve, though. It's a pain to empty the soap container when you want to use the high pressure/turbo nozzle(s). Super easy to operate, and very stable on all surfaces. Best yard improvement product I own.

I bought this because of all the 4 and 5 star reviews. Unfortunately, my experience was no so good. The unit had a high pitched grating squeal right out of the box and was soon accompanied by a disturbing metalic smell. It was pumping well so I know it wasn't running dry - though I am not sure what I saw was 1700 psi worth of pressure. I am willing to accept that perhaps I just got a lemon and I might try another because the unit really appears to be a nice one.

Minimal and easy assembly. For my use, cleaning cedar siding, I would not want more pressure as you start to carve the wood. It would be nice to have a shut off valve on the soap dispenser. Loved the price and the product seems well built.

Disclaimer: I purchased this item at Sam's Club, not Amazon -- I used this 1700 PSI pressure washer one time last September (the day I purchased it) for about 2 hours total, to remove some lingering paint from my porch before repainting. I then put it in the shed for the winter and took it out today to clean up the patio area. I connected everything and when I turned the water on, the trigger handle began leaking. No matter what I did to try for a more secure connection, it continued to leak.

Some things I tried included: adding a second O-ring seal, using silicone plumbing tape, and wearing a padded glove to achieve a tighter connection to the hose. The male brass connection on the trigger handle (that screws into the female brass connection on the hose) is connected to the trigger handle with plastic. While trying to tighten the female hose connection onto the male connection on the trigger handle, the connection sheared off the handle.

I was unable to find the model number for this product on Blackmax's website and can't seem to find a replacement trigger handle. Without one, the product is useless.

The washer was delivered earlier than committed. Assembly was easy and took less than 15 minutes. Connections are brass or some other metal rather than plastic. Overall seems to be well constructed. No leaks. Seems much more solid than those I saw in same price range at Home Depot and Lowes. Does not have a warning to not use extension cord - even has recommendations on how to properly use an extension cord.
