I ordered it online and it arrived within a few days. The box was bigger than I expected, and I was a bit intimidated by the size of the pressure washer when I first took it out of the box. But after reading the instructions, I realized it was actually quite easy to use.
I decided to test it out on my deck first. I attached the hose and turned on the machine. I was surprised by how powerful it was! It easily blasted away all the dirt and grime on my deck, leaving it looking brand new. I was having so much fun that I decided to move on to my driveway next.
Now, let me tell you about my driveway. It's a mess. There are oil stains and tire marks all over the place. I had tried to clean it with a regular hose before, but it didn't do much. But with the Sun Joe, it was a different story. I aimed the nozzle at the oil stains and watched in amazement as they disappeared right before my eyes. It was like magic!
Before I knew it, I had been using the Sun Joe for over an hour. I was having so much fun blasting away all the dirt and grime that I didn't even notice the time flying by. And the best part? When I was done, I didn't feel exhausted like I usually do after cleaning. Instead, I felt invigorated and energized!
The hose reel is also a great feature that helps keep everything organized and tangle-free. I don't have to worry about tripping over the hose or struggling to coil it up when I'm done using it. The Sun Joe SPX3001 comes with five quick-connect nozzles that allow you to adjust the water pressure to suit your needs. I found this feature to be very useful as I could switch from blasting away tough dirt to rinsing off delicate surfaces like my car's paint.
The 2030 PSI and 1.76 GPM are impressive specs, but what really stood out to me was how quiet it was. I was expecting it to be loud, but it was actually pretty quiet. This is a big plus for me as I live in a residential area and wouldn't want to disturb my neighbors.
One thing to note is that the Sun Joe SPX3001 is an electric pressure washer, so you'll need to have an electrical outlet nearby. But this wasn't a problem for me as I have an outdoor outlet on my deck.
In terms of durability, I've only had the Sun Joe for a few weeks, but it seems well-built and sturdy. The green color is also a nice touch and makes it stand out from other pressure washers.
Another great thing about the Sun Joe SPX3001 is its compact size. It doesn't take up much space in my garage, and it's easy to move around. I was worried about the weight of it, but it's surprisingly lightweight and easy to maneuver. The wheels are also a nice addition, making it easy to roll around.
One thing I would caution is to be careful with the water pressure. The Sun Joe SPX3001 is very powerful, and you don't want to accidentally damage any surfaces. I recommend testing it out on a small area first and adjusting the pressure as needed.
The only reason I'm giving it four out of five stars instead of five is because the hose reel can be a bit finicky at times. It doesn't always wind up the hose smoothly, and I've had to manually guide it a few times. But this is a minor issue and doesn't take away from the overall performance of the pressure washer.
Overall, I would highly recommend the Sun Joe SPX3001 Electric Pressure Washer with Hose Reel to anyone who hates cleaning (like me!) but wants to make it a bit more fun. It's powerful, easy to use, and best of all, it'll make you feel like a superhero as you blast away all the dirt and grime from your home. Four out of five stars from me!
For anyone reading, the longer, more ergonomic one I bought that works with this is called "Stens Lance/Wand 24" Extension 758-925 22mm Male Inlet" and it works a little different for the nozzles, you have to pull the lock down before inserting them rather than just pushing to click in, but it works and it doesn't leak.
Con's: It's a little bit noisy, but not so loud that hearing protection is desired. I imagine a gasoline-powered pressure washer, if it were a whisper-quiet 4-stroke motor, might be quieter. But a two-stroke gasoline pressure washer would be far too loud, and I'd have to wear hearing protection.
The power cable supposedly can be manually coiled & hung from a large plastic hook. I don't find that efficient. A retractable / spring-loaded retrieval coil / reel for the power cable would be an improvement, but this is merely cosmetic. If the vendor had provided a nice Velcro cable management strip, it would easily deal with the loose power cable that tends to come loose and drag or fall on the ground when the unit is tipped to roll on its wheels.
The reel used to roll up the sprayer's hose is stiff to turn, no matter whether pulling hose out or reeling it back in, and the reel's fold-out handle is too short to provide sufficient leverage to enable a person to easily and quickly roll up the hose.
The wheels upon which the washer can be towed are stiff to turn. Not so bad that they don't turn, but they are a bit stiff. Perhaps they'll wear in, or perhaps I'll try a bit of lubricant on their axles.
The manual says to only use water or the manufacturer's liquid soap. I'd like the option of using any liquid soap--perhaps Dawn dish washing liquid--but I'll stick with only water for now, and will purchase some of the SunJoe liquid soap and see how I like it. If it's expensive or smells harsh or doesn't do a good job, I'll stick with water. But I count it as a "con" that the manual states I shouldn't use anything but the one recommended soap, which SunJoe makes.
As with any pressure washer, it's possible to damage what you're spraying if you choose the wrong nozzle, or get the nozzle too close to the surface being sprayed, or leave the spray on one spot for too long. Follow the instruction manual and test cleaning places that aren't conspicuous, so you don't make mistakes everyone will see. Softer material, like wood, can be over-sprayed, or sprayed too harshly or slowly, resulting in wood between growth rings being etched away. Don't use too powerful a nozzle, and don't spray too close to the surface being cleaned.
For others who may remark that their sprayer has too much noise AND has no pressure, it's likely their garden hose isn't complete clear of air bubbles. That may be the sole thing I'd wish to be different--the pressure washer doesn't run properly if air bubbles get into it. It's VERY simple to correct the problem, though; just turn the power off and hold the trigger down until all the air has run through the hose and out the spray nozzle. Every other electric pressure washer I've owned had this same issue, and it's just a matter of training to remember to hold the trigger open while the water is turned on and the electric is turned off, until no more bubbles come out. It takes time, though--particularly if you have a long garden hose that has a lot of air in it.
Remember this pressure washer is not compatible with hot water. I have a 125' black rubber 3/4" garden hose, and the water within it gets almost boiling hot when the hose sits in the sun. Be sure to run all that hot water out of the hose before connecting it to the washer, so only cool water is being supplied.
The four stars are for the wheels being stiff to turn, and for the hose reel being difficult to use to take up the pressure washer's hose. If both of those had been as I expected--easy and efficient to move the washer and roll up its hose, I'd have given five stars. And perhaps as I use it more, the hose reel and washer wheels will break in and begin working perfectly, instead of only acceptably. I'll submit a second or updated review if that happens.
For now, I say buy it. Mine works well.
I recommend this unit.

So the biggest difference between the Karcher and this unit, is the quietness of this unit compared to the old one. The motor does not run unless the machine is dispensing water, and shuts down immediately. Not so with the older Karcher. The pressure from this unit is plenty adequate for car washing, and pressure washing dirt off floors, walls, etc. They have 5 tips provided from soap dispenser (which is useless ~ and I will explain), a 15, 25, 40, and direct jet. I will miss the twist adjustable sprayer on the Karcher unit which is pretty much infinitely adjustable. Unfortunately, no way to attach the Karcher spray gun to the SunJoe. I like the soap tank on the SunJoe, which is completely detachable. Allows for a less messy filling. The soap attachment is pretty lame though (same as the Karcher), and does not really foam. It will probably work for dispensing cleaning solutions when washing concrete floors, etc, but not really any use for car cleaning, especially if your want a lot of foam. Ended up buying a foam cannon unit to attach.
Downside to this unit is that it comes with a 25' hose on the reel. Not really long enough IMHO. It won't reach all the way around a car, and when cleaning, it means having to go back to move the machine a lot. Sun Joe sells a 25 foot extension hose, which is great! BUT, because of the stiff connector end on the extension hose, there is absolutely NO WAY of winding the hose and extension hose on to the reel mounted on the machine, even though there is clearly enough room on the reel for a 50' hose. WHY in heavens name do they not sell a 50' hose?
Have used the machine for a couple of time for about 4-5 hours each time, and it has performed like a charm. Highly recommend this unt for the weekend warrior who like car washing and keeping your home sparkling clean! I took off a half star for the hose problem.

I was looking around for a new one and saw the SunJoe brand and decided to read the reviews. They were almost all very positive and so I decided to take a chance. I'm glad I did.
The product was shipped in a double cardboard box, which speaks for the concern the manufacturer has for their product arriving to the consumer in good shape. When I got it unboxed, I was immediately impressed with the material and overall quality of the product and accessories. The hose is a nice, flexible rubber. The nozzles are all brass and stainless steel. The quality of the plastic parts is over and above what the competitors are putting out there. There was minimal assembly required: attach the hose and screw on the wand attachment brackets. I had the thing hooked up to the hose and gave it a test run within 30 minutes of opening the box. I used it today to wash away a few years of accumulated grime and dirt off my camper and it performed wonderfully. I like the soap dispenser and really appreciate the flow control for it. The previous ones I've owned were a pain to work with and you couldn't control the amount of soap coming out of the bottle.
I knocked the Maneuverability score down a notch as the wheels don't turn too well and I ended up carrying it across the yard rather than wheeling it. No problem for me, but it might be an issue for someone who can't carry it. (it isn't a lightweight toy like some others)
Bottom line: I highly recommend this power washer to anyone looking for a quality tool and doesn't mind spending a few dollars more than some of the more popular brands sold at the place with the orange aprons.
